The Lottery Ticket

Directed by Christopher Bakke
Production Company

The Lottery Ticket, directed and written by Christopher Bakke , is the result of a “dramatic emphasis” assignment given in a video class at the Minneapolis Community and Technical College. The project had to follow the following guidelines: A man and a woman in a moving car. The man is upset that he’s lost his job and the woman flirts to cheer him up. In a last ditch effort to lift his spirits, she tickles his nose with a winning lottery ticket. The man responds by angrily brushing her hand away and the valuable ticket flies out the window, leading the woman to berate him. Finally, at the side of the road, the man looks for the ticket and is unable to locate it. A parody of German expressionism, The Lottery Ticket was taped at the MCTC film department studio and Stars Ryan Schaddelee as the driver and Kelli Eisenbraun as the passenger. It was edited and photographed by Jens Egsgaard. Note: The language spoken in The Lottery Ticket is not authentic German.
