Moorhead Welcome to the City of Moorhead. We are proud to be part of a thriving arts community in Fargo-Moorhead that offers a great deal to resident artists as well as visitors to the community. Minnesota State University Moorhead offers the only four-year film production program in the state, and the Fargo Theatre hosts the annual Fargo Film Festival, which is located in historic downtown Fargo-Moorhead. New Ulm
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our "City of Charm and Tradition". I am hopeful you will find an exciting activity, historical site or celebration, regardless of the time of year you visit. In addition to our well-known German heritage, this fine city is also known as the "City of Festivals" with many events happening year-round...some of which might be interesting if captured on film. As a comparatively old city in Minnesota, we have a wealth of interesting and historic buildings to provide the right feel for certain films and can match any town if you're for looking for a lively, modern backdrop. Being in the Minnesota River valley gives our town, as one visitor said, "a sense of depth and dimension not normally found in the southern Minnesota prairie." With greenery abounding, we are perfect as a film location. Mark Hoffmann, Chair of the National Tour Association, recently said after bringing a group here with his tour business, "You have it all here, small-town America at its best!" Come see why. We have a long-standing relationship with The Minnesota Film and TV Board and have worked with several movie and documentary producers over the years. Our City government is well a-tuned to the value of the film arts and we are prepared to co-operate in any way possible to mutually benefit.
