The Minnesota Film and Television Board depends on contributions from individuals and organizations in order to stay in business. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 public/private partnership, one of just a few film commissions in the United States to be so structured. We receive funds annually from the State of Minnesota that must be privately matched -- $1 from the state for every 33 cents we raise. We do not receive a penny of our appropriation from the state until we have raised the private funds to meet that one to three match.
How is that money used? We focus our efforts on providing world-class location assistance services; connecting producers and production companies with the crew and support services they need by producing a printed and on-line production guide; administering Snowbate, Minnesota's production incentive; and maintaining and improving this website. Just as important, we strive to keep members of the state's diverse production community connected and to position Minnesota as a player in the world-wide production market. It's easy to make a tax-deductible contribution in support of these efforts. Payment options include check, cash or timed payment by pledge.
