- Information: Blue Earth is home to a 55.5 foot tall Jolly Green Giant Statue. Green Giant peas and corn have been canned here for over 70 years. Blue Earth is also the home to Minneosta's first stained glass window housed in the historical Good Shepherd Episcopal Church that was built in 1872. The Fairbault County Courthouse, which has been named to the National Historic Register was comopleted in 1891. Visitors can get a breathtaking view of the city of Blu eEarth from the observation deck in the tower. Also of historic interest is the Etta C. Ross Museum, an old post office, school, log cabin, West Delavan Lutheran Church and the James B. Wakefield Houe. The James B. Wakefield house was built in 1868 by Mr. Wakefield , one of the Blue Earth's original founders and a state politician. Blue Earth is surrounded by the Blue Earth River. The early native Americans called the river "Makotah? or "Blue Earth", because of a blue-green mineral called Illite, found high in the river banks.

Location Highlights in Henderson include:
The Henderson Community Building, formerly the Sibley County Courthouse, now houses the city hall, Golden Age Center and Archery Club. The building was built in 1879 and served Sibley County government until 1915 when the seat was moved to Gaylord. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. (600 Main Street)
The Sibley County Historical Museum, an 1884 brick house which has served as a museum since 1949. There are many interesting displays, ranging from items that immigrants brought from Europe to turn-of-the-century items. The house is on the national Register of Historic Places. (700 Main Street)
The Joseph R. Brown Minnesota River Center (600 Main Street), 2nd floor of the Henderson Community Building. Houses exhibits and displays of Henderson and Minnesota River Valley History.
Minnesota New Country School – a Minnesota public charter school which focuses on community and parent involvement, the environment and performance based learning. (210 Main Street)
Bender Park – A multi-purpose recreational facility located at 200 North Third Street.
Minnesota River Levee – A permanent levee constructed to protect Henderson from disastrous flooding. The levee provides a walking trail, where native grasses and an up-close view of the river can be seen. Located on the east side of levee is a Minnesota DNR boat landing.
Allanson’s Park, located at 500 South Street.
Rush River State Wayside – A 260-acre site that is part of the Minnesota Valley Trail System and located 2 miles southwest of Henderson.

- Information: Nearly 800 wind generator towers capable of producing fantastic amounts of electricity from one of the area's top resources- wind are located near Pipestone. 3/4-mile self-guided trail beginning at Pipestone National Monument Visitor's center looping through the active quarries and Winnewissa Falls. The Cultural Center provides demonstrations of pipe making by American Indian craft workers using stone from the quarries. The Song of Hiawatha Pageant spins out Henry Longfellow's vision of the Native American Indian, and has played in Pipestone for nearly 60 years. Pipestone's Downtown Historic District is twent buildings constructed primarily in the 1880-1900 time period from Sioux Quartzite. All are on the National Register for Historic Places. The Pipestone County Museum preserves the area's history in a range of interpretive exhibits.

- Information: Gammelgarden (the Old Farm) Museum in Scandia, Minnesota. This Swedish immigrant pioneer museum includes the original log sanctuary of Elm Lutheran Church from 1856, the oldest log parsonage in Minnesota from 1868, an immigrant log cabin, 1885, a Swedish-style vacation stuga, and a gift shop. The 11 acres includes a park, playground, and picnic facilities. Swedish log fencing encloses the area. The present Elim Lutheran Church is visible on top of the hill. Open May through October.
