Top-notch training is available for Minnesota actors interested in working in TV, film and commercials.
Shaan Sharma, a member of both SAG and AFTRA, has been acting for 10 years, teaching for 6 years and spent the last 2 years casting hundreds of national commercials, tv pilots and feature films with the top casting directors in Hollywood. He also taught workshops at some of the best acting studios in LA.
Now you can learn from his experience working both behind and in front of the camera. Shaan is offering classes, limited to 10 students, to challenge and empower Minnesota talent.

Here’s what current students have to say:
“Shaan creates a non-intimidating, inviting environment that challenges me and allows me to learn so much about the art of acting and about myself. I look forward to coming to class each week!” – Erin Newburg
“I thought that I would have to wait until I moved to LA to get this level of training. Shaan’s knowledge and passion for on camera acting are a rare find in the Midwest.” – Elisa Robinson
“This class has given me the courage to explore my own emotions and apply those feelings to acting. Shaan has shown me how to honestly convey emotion through a character. As actors, that skill is critical. He encourages and challenges his students to take risks that get results. There is no better feeling than performing a scene that you truly lived in for that moment, and knowing that others were able to experience it through you.” – Jamie Reeder
Here’s what past students have to say:
“Everything you taught me in this class helped me deliver real and believable performances.” – Kiersten Callis
“I already feel more confident in my acting and know so much more about what people are looking for at auditions.” – Amber Tucker
“It was so great to work with you! I became more aware of the process of casting and am more comfortable with auditioning.” – Erin Holly
“I had taken another class a year ago and it was awful…so bad that I decided it just wasn’t for me. This year I made up my mind to try again and you gave me a whole new perspective on the process. Thank you for the courage to try again.” – Jenna McQuestion
Here’s what the casting pros have to say:
“There are very few people we trust to run our casting sessions because our reputation is on the line. Shaan is one of those few.” – Kris Nicolau, Skirts Casting – skirtscasting.com
“Shaan puts 110% into everything he does, whether it’s camera work, directing a session or helping fellow actors deliver believable performances. He’s a fantastic teacher and sincerely cares about quality.” – Susan Vergara, The Casting Lounge - thecastinglounge.com
“Shaan is the kind of teacher every actor hopes for; one who encourages an artist to take risks, which ultimately tell us that we already have everything we need to succeed, we just have to make the leap.” - Dufflyn Lammers, Act Now! Network – actnownetwork.com
In 2003, Shaan founded the Fresh Face Showcase to educate the public about how to safely enter the acting and modeling industry without getting scammed by the many disreputable “modeling schools”, photographers and websites. From 2003-2006, the Fresh Face Showcase Fashion Shows were among the largest fashion events in the country, featuring hundreds of actors, models, designers, sponsors, volunteers and stylists and were attended by over 4,000 people.
